Scheme for rehabilitation of marginalized groups

The Department of Social Justice under Government of Kerala has implemented a scheme which envisages the care, protection and rehabilitation of the disadvantaged and downtrodden marginalized population of the society. The marginalized groups mainly include those who are street dwellers, destitute, suffering from ill health, and those compelled to remain in hospitals after recovery because there is no one to look after them. With the aim of rehabilitating such target population across the state who require comprehensive rehabilitation, the Social Justice Department has expanded the service of this scheme to other districts as well.
