The State Government has strategized action plan for the implementation of several welfare programmes and Individual beneficiary schemes for the well-being of transgender community. The Department of Social Justice has launched a new initiative called Ananyam scheme for developing the artistic talent and aptitude from within the transgender community. The scheme is aimed to ensure better financial and social life for transgender community members. This scheme would bring better visibility and social acceptance for the transgender individuals.

The talent and aptitude of the artistic team will be assessed and necessary training will be provided by an agency called Guru Gopinath Natanagramam. A transgender arts team (30 members) will be constituted to provide the community members with the platform to showcase their talent and earn a sustainable livelihood. The art team can perform at festivals, fairs, exhibitions, and cultural fetes organised by the State government.
